In celebration of Richmond-based author-cartoonist Dash Shaw’s new graphic novel, Like Swimmers, published by New York Review Comics, he will screen Claude Chabrol’s 1992 under-seen thriller, Betty. Dash’s book is a murder mystery centering on a bad relationship, and Chabrol’s string of dramatic thrillers — full of realistic, broken people — served as a helpful buoy during the years of creation. Dash will present the mysterious and hypnotic Betty and copies of Like Swimmers will be available courtesy of Brian’s Books, fresh from the printer, before its street date release!
