Through the Olive Trees (1994)

dir. Abbas Kiarostami

This film concludes Abbas Kiarostami’s Koker Trilogy, which we have been showing since November with Where is the Friend’s House? and And Life Goes On.

A meta narrative film centered around the shooting of And Life Goes On, Through The Olive Trees is a gorgeous film about love, rebuilding life in the face of nothing, and the complications that go into creating a film! It’s a visual feast, with Kiarostami’s signature long tracking shots of nature and civilization colliding.

We’ll have snacks and refreshments available to make this a cozy cinematic evening for all involved. Please join us for this absolute Gem of an Iranian New Wave film! πŸ•ŠοΈπŸŒ³πŸŽ₯
